North Carolina Education Alliance

Site Info

The North Carolina Education Alliance was created in 1998 and is now directed by Lindalyn Kakadelis, a former teacher and Charlotte school board member. Its Steering Committee is made up of reform-minded school board members, county commissioners, business executives, educators, and other local leaders.

The Alliance is a special project of the John Locke Foundation. Since it opened in 1990, the Locke Foundation has worked hard to become the broadest-supported think tank in North Carolina. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan think tank supported entirely from voluntary contributions. We doe not and would not accept government funds. We have received support from nearly 1,500 individuals, businesses, and foundations.

The current Alliance web site was designed and developed by DesignHammer Media Group, LLC, a Durham, North Carolina based web design firm in 2003. Please address any problems you experience in using the web site to NCEA Web Site Support.
